Last week: 30 (-2) Record: 2-12 Net points per drive: -0.97 (32nd) DVOA: -40.1% (32nd) Weighted DVOA: -38.7% (32nd) After getting shut out by the Raiders, it appears the Chiefs’ winning days are over as they have games against the Colts to close out their season. This puts them in the driver’s seat for a 2-14 record and the #1 pick and it couldn’t have gone to a more deserving team. This team was rarely competitive once they put Brady Quinn under center and they didn’t manage a first down in the first half against a Raider team that had the league’s worst defense coming into the game. I would commend them for the shrewd move in ensuring they lock up the #1 pick, but Scott Pioli and Romeo Crennel are expected to be fired at the end of the season. Studs SS Eric Berry: 11 solo tackles, 7 stops, allowed 1 catch for 7 yards on 2 attempts, 1 pass deflection P Dustin Colquitt: 7 punts for 383 yards, 4 inside 20, 0 returns for 0 yards, 51.9 net yards per punt Duds QB Brady Quinn: 18 of 32 f...

Chiefs fans serve 'Poop Cookies' at tailgate

Via @NAWTADIGM comes this photo snapped at a Kansas City Chiefs tailgate where a fan is serving his fellow downtrodden friends cookies made to look like poop. It’s like the usual sh*t-eating experience of rooting for the Chiefs, only in literal and edible form. Don’t be shy, Chiefs fans. Even if the cookies might be coiled in a way that they look a little bit too much like pretzels...

Chiefs Rumors: Romeo Crennel, Scott Pioli Done in KC?

While the Kansas City Chiefs are denying the rumors, it’s been reported by Nick Wright of 610-AM in Houston that the club has officially told general manager Scott Pioli and head coach Romeo Crennel that they will not be back for the 2013 season. From a more than reliable source: Scott Pioli and Romeo Crennel have officially been told they will NOT be back next year. #Chiefs —...

Chiefs Intend To Fire HC Romeo Crennel & GM Scott After The Season?

Nick Wright of 610 Houston reports that a ”more than reliable source” has informed him that Chiefs have already notified GM Scott Pioli and head coach Romeo Crennel that they will be fired at the end of the season. Jovan Belcher Had Previously Texted Other Girlfriend About Shooting Kasandra Perkins, Police Records Show

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher apparently was worried he would lose his baby and money to his longtime girlfriend before fatally shooting her and killing himself, according to newly released police reports. Chiefs' Crennel focused on finishing trying year

Romeo Crennel isn't worrying about his future with the Kansas City Chiefs. The veteran coach says he's focused solely on trying to pluck off a win or two down the stretch in what has turned out to be a season of misery for the Chiefs. Not only is the team 2-12, but it's also had to deal with a murder-suicide involving one of its players. Crennel has been in the business...

Chiefs fans serve “poop” cookies at their tailgate

@NAWTADIGM It’s been such a bad season for the Kansas City Chiefs and their fans that they made some “poop” cookies to at least try to laugh about the misery of their beloved team.   Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter...

Indianapolis Colts at Kansas City Chiefs: Week 16 NFL Pick

Indianapolis Colts (9-5) at Kansas City Chiefs (2-12) The Colts lost to the Texans last week and still only have one impressive win on their schedule and by impressive win I mean a win over a playoff team or a blowout of a bad team. They beat the Packers in that first ChuckStrong game and that’s it. They got blown out in Chicago, New York, New England and last week, to a lesser...

Quinn OK to start at QB on Sunday for Chiefs

Brady Quinn will start at quarterback on Sunday for Kansas City against Indianapolis, coach Romeo Crennel said Wednesday. Quinn sustained a rib injury in last Sunday's 15-0 loss to Oakland. He completed 18 of 32 passes for 136 yards and no touchdowns and was sacked four times by the Raiders. Quinn has started six games this season and and has thrown just two touchdown passes...

Chiefs Will Start Brady Quinn Against The Colts

Adam Teicher reports that the Kansas City Chiefs will have QB Brady Quinn under center when they take on the Colts this weekend. Quinn has been dealing with a rib injury in recent weeks, which led the Chiefs to suggest that Ricky Stanzi could be in line for the first start of his career. The Chiefs quarterback situation is one of the worst in the league and it’s almost certain...
