Kasandra Perkins shot 9 times
Jovan Belcher shot his girlfriend and mother of his child, 22-year old Kasandra Perkins, nine times, an autopsy report reveals.
Belcher, a Kansas City Chiefs linebacker, murdered Perkins December 1, 2012 at a home they shared, shooting her in the back, leg, hand, chest, neck, and abdomen, before driving approximately five miles to the teams practice facility where he shot himself after briefly speaking with team officials and coaches.
According the the New York Daily News, Belcher was intoxicated at the time of these tragic events…
Belcher’s blood-alcohol level was .17 just before 8 a.m. when he died, more than twice the legal limit. Neither Belcher nor Perkins tested positive for illegal drugs.
The autopsies were completed by the Jackson County Medical Examiner’s office.
