One of the rivalries that has defined the AFC West since the days of the AFL is the one between Oakland and Kansas City. Historically, both teams have enjoyed dominant stretches, but both have had trouble finding success recently (as in the last decade or two). But their lack of success on the field hasn’t done much of anything to quiet the passion or vitriol of their fan bases. Last season, tight end Kevin Boss made the move from the New York Giants to Oakland to be a Raider, and he didn’t understand the Chiefs-Raiders rivalry.
