Kevin Curtis to start in return

Kevin Curtis, who led the Eagles with 1,110 receiving yards last season, will play his first game of the season Sunday against Atlanta at Lincoln Financial Field. And he won't just be easing back into the lineup. Coach Andy Reid said yesterday that Curtis, who underwent sports hernia surgery in August, would start with rookie DeSean Jackson when the Eagles resume play after a bye week. If Reggie Brown is able to return from a groin pull, the Eagles will have all six wide receivers available for the first time this season. Brown was limited at practice yesterday. There was some question whether Jackson would hold on to his starting spot when Curtis and Brown, the team's top two wide receivers last season, returned. Jackson leads the Eagles with 29 catches for 433 yards, an average of 14.9. "Reggie and Kevin are our two top receivers," quarterback Donovan McNabb said. "I guess people forget about Reggie, and that's sad." The Eagles' wide receivers have accounted for only three touchdowns this season. Hank Baskett has two and Jackson the third. "We've got a couple of guys who haven't played in a while," Reid said. "You have to work them in and do what you need to do. That's how we've always done it here."
