After hearing about the trade of Percy Harvin, defensive tackle Kevin Williams says he cannot name one wide receiver on the team (Credit: AP Photo) For those players still on the Minnesota Vikings, today is not a good day. First, Adrian Peterson said he felt like he got “kicked in the stomach” after hearing the reports that wide receiver Percy Harvin was traded to the Seattle Seahawks. In fact, Peterson called Harvin one of the best players you will ever see. Although it seems a little dramatic to call Harvin one of the best players you will ever see, it is understandable that Peterson would be upset to see another offensive weapon leaving town. Now, it appears as even some defensive players are even confused about what is going on with the offense. While talking to Bruce Murray and Rich Ganon of SiriusXM NFL Radio, defensive tackle Kevin Williams claims he cannot even name one of the team’s wide receivers. “I can’t tell you one receiver that’s on the team right now,” Williams went on to add that he definitely believes the team is going to look for a wide receiver in not only free agency but the draft as well. “That is funny.  After we lose Percy and Michael, I can’t name one that we have on the roster.  So we’re definitely going to have to make some moves in the draft and free agency to try to get us a receiving corps, period.” The Vikings were rumored to be a destination for free agent Greg Jennings. If the front office can sign Jennings, along with the 2013 first round pick they received from Seattle for Harvin (along with a 2013 7th rounder and 2014 mid-rounder), they may be better off without Harvin. If I was a fan of the Vikings, I would take Jennings plus a first rounder in exchange for Harvin. Especially when you consider Harvin has only played in all 16 games, once in his four year career.
