When the Dolphins brought in Knowshon Moreno to help their running back group there was a mixed reaction from the fan base wondering if Knowshon’s prior success in Denver was largely due to playing with Peyton Manning. That being said it was pretty much assumed that Knowshon would be the number one running back heading into week one. It pretty much has been all downhill from there as it was reported that Moreno showed up to camp with a little too much extra weight around his belly and that he was lining up with the 3rd and 4th team behind even Daniel Thomas. The curious case of Knowshon Moreno had many wondering early at camp if he was even a lock to make the roster.  Reports from the Sun Sentinel were that Moreno might be dealing with some medical issues. V conceivable #Dolphins bought damaged goods with Knowshon, who never looked right after 37-carry game vs NE & generated scant FA interest. — Evan Silva (@evansilva) June 20, 2014   This morning we found out that Moreno might be facing arthroscopic surgery on the knee, but that it’s nothing significant at this point. Even if the surgery is minor this surely isn’t how Knowshon wanted his career to start in Miami. Knowshon who signed a 1 year prove it deal has now clearly fallen behind Lamar Miller as the week one starter. At this point however the greater concern for Dolphins fan is whether Daniel Thomas will ever go away as the news of a Moreno surgery favors his odds of staying with the team. Chad Johnson makes CFL debut

Chad Johnson is salvaging what's left of his football skills up north in a place they call Canada, playing in the Canadian Footbal League (CFL) to be exact, for the powerhouse Montreal Allouettes. The former Bengals, Patriots and Dolphins 36-year-old receiver looks very much the same as he was the last few years of his NFL career, catching a simple route before stumbling and...

Lamar Miller the starter for Dolphins?

The Miami Dolphins signed former Denver Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno this offseason, and many expected him to be the starting running back fairly easily. That doesn’t appear to be the case so far, and according to a report from Marc Sessler of NFL.com, Lamar Miller is currently listed as the starter. Miller was the starting running back last season, but failed to come through...

Dolphins Injury Update: Knowshon Moreno might need knee surgery

The Miami Dolphins concluded their offseason workout program yesterday with the final day of the team's mincamp with a scrimmage, letting the team play a non-contact, no-pad "game."  One notable absence was their top offseason acquisition, running back Knowshon Moreno.  In early June, the team questioned Moreno's condition, and now NBC Sports reports that he...

Surgery Likely Needed For Moreno's Left Knee

NBC Sports reported that Dolphins running back Knowshon Moreno may need left knee surgery.Fantasy Spin:We expected Moreno to win the top spot after a big year in Denver last season (1,038 yards rushing, 13 total TD), but this could explain why he was working with the second team. If true, and there is no confirmation at this time, Lamar Miller's fantasy value would take a giant leap forward.

Could Jarvis Landry land the Dolphins #3 WR job?

As the spring game capped the end of a solid minicamp for Miami, one standout that I expected to see great things from was Jarvis Landry. Landry had a great minicamp all the way through, but he stood out in the spring game specifically as the leading receiver overall in receptions (with 5) and receiving yards (with 67 yards). There are quotes from Mike Wallace specifically saying...

A healthy Dion Jordan looking much improved at minicamp

DAVIE, Fla. -- During Thursday's scrimmage that capped off Dolphins minicamp, the Aqua team featured a pairing that fans would love to see on an every-play basis: Dion Jordan and Cameron Wake on opposite ends of the defensive line. Jordan, the former Oregon Duck who the team traded up for to get with the third overall pick of the 2013 draft, didn'€™t make much of an impact...

Projecting the all AFC East team for 2014, Miami Dolphins have seven guys

The offseason is essentially complete, as teams wind down between now and the start of training camp, it’s possible to assess what each team has on their roster; things are essentially set, especially in terms of starting lineups. That being the case, it’s also time to start looking at how teams stack up within their division. One of the best ways to do that is to select the...

Knowshon Moreno not too concerned about his status at Dolphins minicamp

DAVIE, Fla. -- When the Dolphins signed Knowshon Moreno back in March, the general opinion was that he would push incumbent starting running back Lamar Miller for his job this season. But Wednesday morning, in his 11th practice of the offseason program, Moreno spent most of the session either holding his helmet or working on the side with a trainer. The only play he appeared in during...
