**** YEA!!That's how one of the NFC favorites is supposed to look in every aspect of the game. The Eagles trotted out their JV offense and still was very impressive with DeSean Jackson and Brent Celek combining for 253 receiving yards accounting for nearly 80% of Kevin Kolb's 327 passing yards. I know people are gonna say it was only against the KC Chiefs which has some merit, but anytime your playing with McNabb, Westbrook, and to a lesser extent Curtis to put up those numbers and be that impressive is great. Jeremy Maclin even made an appearance with a solid 4 catch 33 yard performance and being open in the end zone when Kolb just missed him. LeSean McCoy got 20 carries for 85 yards and a score. Proving he can run from the shotgun, pro set, or wildcat while providing solid pass blocking protection McCoy should see plenty of action even after Westbrook's return. You have to love the experience these young guys picked up in a game where it was all on them. Given McNabb's and Westbrook's health issues this comforts me somewhat if they go down in a big game that the Eagles can run their full offense. Brent Celek is quickly making me forget about the Eagles not getting Gonzo in the offseason. Three straight solid games and two all-pro caliber performances. He showed the ability to work underneath and stretch the defense long this week. DeSean Jackson is plain and simple the best WR in the NFC East and quickly becoming one of the leagues biggest badass playmakers. The defense did what they should against a weak offense without the services of their best player (Dwayne Bowe). Cassel never had a chance with pressure in his face and a pissed off defense. Larry Johnson never had a chance with the Eagles aggressively run blitzing constantly stuffing the former Penn Stater before he reached the line of scrimmage. As for Michael Vick. Not much to say really. He was in the wildcat mostly performing the zone read or option play. His only two throws came with pressure in his face and he kept the ball safe. The Eagles kept it a bit vanilla playing Sisters of the Poor today so I'm not really reading much into it. All in all solid being he didn't make any mistakes. P.S. to McNabb, take notes of how little Vick disrupted the flow for Kolb. While it was only against the ****** Chiefs you have to love the bounce back performance for the Eagles. It was a solid effort heading into the bye week before NFC South cupcake Tampa Bay comes to town.
