Las Vegas Raiders may be moving their training camp site away from Henderson and to California
Candice Ward-USA TODAY Sports

The Las Vegas Raiders are on the verge of a significant shift in their training camp location, a move that could potentially impact their preseason preparations.

In the NFL, it's not uncommon for teams to opt for different training camp locations. The Raiders, for instance, have been conducting their camps at their Henderson, Nevada headquarters, a practice that could soon change.

Teams like the Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, and a few others do their training camps in different locations. Sometimes teams do it in an entirely different state, like the Cowboys do in California, and sometime teams do it in a different area of the state, like the Chiefs do when they visit St. Joseph Missouri.

The Raiders could soon fall into the first category, as there are rumors that they are in talks to move their training camp to California.

According to Vinny Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the Raiders are currently exploring the possibility of using the Jack Hammett Sports Complex in Costa Mesa, California, as their training camp venue for this season.

So, because they are in discussion for this year, we could get an answer fairly soon since training camp is in early August. This will mean guys will have to fly out there and board somewhere. Sometimes, teams rent out an entire hotel or resort for the players; other times, they stay in dorms.

We will see what the Raiders do.
