Pete DeLea of the Daily News Record reports Eagles linebacker Akeem Jordan, a Harrisonburg native and former standout on the James Madison University football team, was arrested in connection with an incident in Harrisonburg early Sunday and charged with misdemeanor assault and battery, according to the Harrisonburg Police Department.
Details of the case are murky and it’s not clear where Jordan, 25, was arrested or what specifically led to his arrest. According to an HPD report, the incident occurred in a parking lot on Evelyn Byrd Avenue. He was released on his own recognizance earlier today.
