There has been plenty of speculation the acquisition of linebacker Desmond Bishop meant outside LB turned inside, Erin Henderson would return to his former position.
However according to Henderson there hasn’t been any indication things have changed.
The Vikings were looking to find a better fit during the offseason, but Henderson has remained confident in his ability to play the position.
The addition of Bishop raises the question once again about the team’s intentions for Henderson.
“At this point there’s no plans of me moving back to the outside,” Henderson said, via Sirius XM Radio.
“I’m still playing middle linebacker after speaking with my coaches. That’s the decision that they made and what they want to do right now. I’m still embracing it. I’m still looking forward to it and I’m still excited about the opportunity to get out there and play Mike for the Vikings.”
