Two days after Arizona coach Bruce Arians said he’d like to add another inside linebacker to the roster, the Cardinals brought in Ernie Sims for a visit, according to a source. Sims spent the past two seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, starting 12 of 22 games. He had 58 tackles and one sack in Dallas, where he played inside and outside linebacker. The former Detroit Lions first-round pick in 2006 has played for four teams in eight years. Sims made $840,000 last season. He’s spent the majority of his career at outside linebacker, filling in at middle linebacker late last season due to injuries. The Cardinals have eight inside linebackers and seven outside linebackers on the current roster. Depth is stronger at outside compared to inside, where only three players have played significant time. Last season, Sims played 358 snaps.

DeMarco Murray Would “Welcome” More Carries

DeMarco Murray rushed for 1,121 yards, had nine touchdowns and made his first Pro Bowl appearance in 2013.   Murray accomplished those numbers despite the Cowboys finishing 24th in rushing at 94 yards per game.  Dallas finished last in 2012. Are the Dallas Cowboys throwing in the towel for the 2014 season?

I know the Dallas Cowboys fans do not want to admit it, but do you really feel that DeVonte Holloman can fill the void of Sean Lee better than a veteran linebacker that is out on the waivers, ala Jonathan Vilma, or Will Witherspoon?  Shoot even Nick Barnett is a major upgrade over Devonte Holloman, […] The post Are the Dallas Cowboys throwing in the towel for the 2014 season?...

2014 Fantasy Football Team Preview: Dallas Cowboys

Fantasy Stars: Dez Bryant: Oh Dez. It’s always tough to predict what’s going to happen to the Cowboys and their usage of their best player, Dez Bryant, sometimes irks fantasy owners like myself. Tony Romo and Co. need to find a way to get the triple teams away from Bryant and finally did late last season. Who would’ve thought feeding the ball to Demarco Murray would bode...

Cowboys 2009 Draft Class. Where Are They Now?

Depending on who you ask, but many draft gurus have stated that the 2009 draft class as a whole was one of the weakest in recent years. The coach at the time was Wade Phillips, and this bad class surely didn’t help him add a single playmaker. The Dallas Cowboys know that all too well, as none of the players the Cowboys drafted are on the team, and most are out of football all together...

Losing Sean Lee; Crisis & Opportunity

We all have that friend or relative who’s the first to crack a joke at a funeral. It can seem offensive to some, but when you know the person you know that it’s how they deal with their own grief. I am that guy in my family, and I found myself reacting to the Sean Lee injury news yesterday in similar fashion. My first response on Twitter was a joke, something about Lee auditioning...
