Claimed off waivers earlier this week, LB Pierre Woods is working hard to get the terminology in Buffalo’s playbook down in a short period of time. “I’m working hard at it,” Woods said. “I’m going to go out there and whatever the coach asks me to do I’ll go out there and try to do to the best of my ability and play to win and that’s what I’m here for.” Woods likely won’t see time on defense after less than a week to get accustomed to Buffalo’s scheme, but he is an accomplished special teams player and could see time on coverage units. He was cut by the Patriots on Sept. 4th, but was re-signed by New England Nov. 17th. During those two months instead of collecting unemployment, Woods went to work as a groundskeeper at his alma mater, Michigan. “I was just a groundskeeper, going around, cutting grass, picking up trash, basically whatever they asked me to do, just working,” said Woods.
