After last week’s controversial comments made by Hank Williams Jr., ESPN pulled the famous and familiar Monday Night Football song. The game will now open its introduction with Detroit Lions Hall of Fame running superstar Barry Sanders and he will be co-stared with soul singer Jimmy Scott as the Lions take on the Chicago Bears. ESPN plans on using a different introduction every week as this will be the first time since 1989 that Hank Williams introduction won’t be used, but that is because Hank owns all rights to his historic song. Instead the opening of Monday Night Fotball will be something to look forward each week. In order for the Lions to stay undefeated, they must control the game from the beginning. Their last two wins were shaky and not great victories, however the ball is definitely in their favor. Detroit needs to fire up their running game, last week they rushed for under 70 yards and continue to struggle on ever rushing play.
