This is good to be honest. The QB spot is locked up and one of their best special teams guys is back on board
The Detroit Lions reach agreement with backup quarterback Drew Stanton on a one-year contract.
Stanton, 27, has appeared in 13 games over the last three seasons with the Lions, throwing for five touchdowns and nine interceptions.
He played in six games last season and completed 69 of 119 passes for 780 yards with four TDs and three picks.
The Lions also came to terms with safety John Wendling on a three-year deal. Wendling plays primarily on special teams.
