Found September 12, 2013 on NFL Injury Report:
Despite another fine, this time for illegally blocking an opponent low, Detroit Lions defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh told reporters – including Marc Sessler of NFL.com – that he has no plans of changing his aggressive, and what some consider dirty, style of play."Really you just play football, that's all I can do," Suh told reporters. "... I don't change, I'm going to always play tough, hard, that's the way I was brought up at Nebraska, where I really learned football from the Pelinis and that staff and continue to play hard, play blue-collar football."Suh was handed a record-breaking fine of $100,000 for going low on Minnesota Vikings center John Sullivan in Week 1. While he wasn’t suspended, the hefty fine would seem to indicate that the next time Suh does anything controversial he’s likely to miss time as a result.Suh said that he understands that the NFL is trying to promote the safety of its players, but he still didn’t see that he did anything wrong that warranted the fine he’s receiving. The defensive lineman has made it clear that he’ll appeal the league’s decision."I think it's just, player safety is the league's concern," Suh said. "You've got to only respect it, and that's one of the reasons I spoke to Sullivan as we walked into the halftime, and he understood where I was coming from. No hard feelings and same thing if he cut me so forth, so on, no hard feelings and go from there."Suh is certainly a player that you’d want on your team considering his immense ability, but he seems to grow more and more infamous each season. There’s a fine line between being aggressive and taking it too far, and the big man will have to toe the line better before he’s again banned by the NFL.Follow @TheNFLInjuryRpt Looking for fantasy football advice?
