Tim Twentyman of DetroitLions.com believes that the Lions will make drastic changes to their starting offensive line, which could end up with four different starters. For the last three seasons the Lions have maintained the continuity of starters: LT Jeff Backus, LG Rob Sims, C Dominic Raiola, RG Stephen Peterman and RT Gosder Cherilus. The team is expected to retain only Sims out of the five starters. Both Raiola, 34, and Peterman, 31, are entering their final contract year and would count $9 million against the salary cap. Cherilus is already an unrestricted free agent and Backus is also entering the final year of his two year contract. Lions GM Martin Mayhew had also stated that QB Matthew Stafford saw too much pressure this season, suggesting that the unit would be upgraded. First-round pick rookie Riley Reiff will likely start at either tackle or guard next year. Also expected to get a look is  fourth-year tackle Jason Fox and  Bill Nagy who spent the 2012 season on IR. Recently hired OL coach Jeremiah Washburn is also expected to reinforce the line via free agency and/or draft.   The post Lions Offensive Line To Undergo Major Changes In 2013 appeared first on NFL Trade Rumors -.
