Lions RB Mikel Leshoure Pleads Guilty To Marijuana Charge

Detroit Lions running back Mikel Leshoure pled guilty to a marijuana-related charge Friday for the second time this year and again paid a fine, according to the Detroit Free Press. Leshoure faced the felony charge of second-offense marijuana possession, but was able to plead guilty to marijuana possession, a misdemeanor, and paid a $575 fine. Leshoure was first cited for marijuana possession Feb. 18, in that instance, he also pled guilty to a lesser offense -- using marijuana -- and paid a fine. Police said Leshoure was riding in a car they stopped in Baroda-Lake Township March 12, and that he tried to eat the marijuana he was holding when officers approached. Leshoure now faces possible suspension by the Lions or by the NFL under the league's personal-conduct policy.
