Detroit Lions running back Kevin Smith was limited in practice Friday due to an ankle injury. Smith is not expected to play in Sunday's game against Minnesota after aggravating the ankle injury in last week's game against the New Orleans Saints. He rushed for 34 yards and a touchdown on six carries and had six receptions for 46 yards before he was hurt. Smith had initially injured the ankle in a Thanksgiving Day loss to the Green Bay Packers. Maurice Morris will likely start in place of Smith.
