The Detroit Lions are fed up with wide reciever Titus Young. The Lions sent Young home from the team's practice facility Monday, and coach Jim Schwartz said he will not play in Thursday's game against the Houston Texans, reports the Detroit Free Press.  Young's selfish behavior and repeated on-field issues have led to the Lions making him inactive for Thursday's game.   “It’s disappointing because this is ground that we’ve already covered and I thought we would be past this, but we haven’t been,” Schwartz said. “His behavior on Sunday was unacceptable and it hurt the team, particularly on offense, and it was a distraction and we’re going to eliminate that distraction particularly this week.” “When you play a game like football, it’s a team sport and players have obligations to the team and Titus hasn’t done a very good job of fulfilling those obligations this week and recently,” Schwartz said. “He’ll be inactive this week and we’ll plug the other guys in and go on.” Young caught just one pass, had back-to-back penalties in the third-quarter and lined up in the wrong posiiton late in the fourth quarter when Gosder Cherilus was whistled for a false start during Sunday's loss to the Green Bay Packers. Coach Schwartz said Young "caused a lot of confusion" on the play which led to the penalty. "With Gosder, he was sitting in the box way too long," Scwhartz said. "Anybody that's ever run track, you can't keep guys in the blocks that long and it was because of the situation with getting aligned."
