Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh was fined $30,000 by the NFL on Wednesday, but says he didn't kick Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub on purpose.
That's why Suh insisted he doesn't need to apologize to Schaub.
"I was dragged to the ground," he said. "A lot of things happen to me. It's part of the game."
Suh spoke to reporters Wednesday for the first time since his left cleat connected with Schaub's groin area in Detroit's loss to Houston last Thursday.
"It's a crazy play," he said. "It's one that unfortunately happened. I didn't even realize until the end of the game and (on) my Twitter feed, I see my friends telling me about it.
"You can't do much more about it. I was being dragged to the ground and my foot inadvertently hit the man. It's over with. I'm moving forward."
Suh dodged another suspension from the league, which has fined him instead for his latest questionable move on the field.
His reputation, though, has taken another hit.
