The cries come from all directions, and if you think the Chiefs should cut Larry Johnson because he's no longer a good NFL running back, fine. When money is factored in, it's hard to argue against.But, please, save the righteous screams about LJ being a role model, and he's offended America, and what will we tell our children?This is dishonest on a few levels, but most of all, the one where anybody says fans -- as a group -- care about what a guy Tweets like in comparison to what a guy plays like.It's a noble idea, of course. LJ uses a few homophobic slurs so us fans rise up as a group and protect civil rights. In some ways, maybe our world would be a better place if this actually happened.read more
