After that last bummer bit of news, here’s something to cheer you up. According to the Seattle Times, Marcus Trufant will be signed to a one day deal tomorrow so that he can officially retire as a member of the Seahawks:
“Marcus Trufant, who started 125 games in a Seattle career that lasted from 2003-12, has signed a contract with the team so he can then officially retire as a Seahawk on Thursday… A graduate of Wilson High in Tacoma, Trufant was in camp with the Jacksonsville Jaguars last year but cut before the season… The team will hold a press conference with Trufant tomorrow at 11 a.m.”
Trufant played all 136 of his career games with the Seahawks, mostly at cornerback. He had 21 interceptions and 111 defended passes over that time.
Play it again, Marcus…
