The NFL is rapidly growing in popularity in the UK and the league has taken notice.Fans from across the pond (myself included) will be glad to hear that there will be three regular season games held at London's Wembley Stadium during the 2014 season. The so-called ''home'' teams for the three games will be the Jacksonville Jaguars, Oakland Raiders and the Atlanta Falcons.Admittedly that doesn't sound like a promising lineup at first glance, but hopefully by this time next year these squads will be a bit better with some useful drafting in April.Commissioner Roger Goodell said, ''The fan enthusiasm for our sport continues to grow. By playing two games in the UK this year, we are creating more fans. We hope that with three games in London next year we will attract even more people to our game.''The International Series has become increasingly popular since the first game was held in 2007, playing one game a year at Wembley until this year when that was increased to two regular season games for UK fans.In the first game played this year the Pittsburgh Steelers played a great game against the Minnesota Vikings; I can speak from personal experience that the atmosphere was fantastic, something I'll never forget.Over 83,000 people attended and it felt like Minnesota, UK. The Steelers were being booed all night (much to my annoyance) and a massive cheer went around the stadium anytime Adrian Peterson touched the ball.Even seeing Gene Simmons was something I'll be able to tell my currently non-existent grand children! Explaining KISS to them will be as challenging as out-running Chris Johnson. The next game to played in the UK will be the ''home team'' Jacksonville Jaguars against the San Francisco 49ers to be played on the 27th of October. I'll be there in my Polamalu jersey, shouting at Colin Kaepernick to run in a few touchdowns to help out my fantasy football team. The NFL is becoming one of the UK's favourite leagues, and if you're reading Commissioner Goodell, how about throwing a playoff game our way? Too far? Maybe for now, in a couple of years it could well be a reality.
