Follow us on twitter @SFninerNoise for offseason moves, news, and more check out the death stare Crabtree is giving Kyle Williams We can all dwell on a NFC Championship game overtime loss all the way up to training camp, but our front office has plenty of work to do. There were a few things that were evident in the loss to the Giants that will need to be mended to before the start of next season.  The biggest issue was the receiving core, or lack thereof, in fact did we ever put one on the field? The receiving core didn’t have their best game, in fact 1 catch for 3 yards. There was no separation, nowhere to go with the ball, and QB Alex Smith looked like a man with no faith. We spent a top ten draft pick on WR Michael Crabtree, but it doesn’t seem to be working out. The former Texas Tech standout was the leading WR this year, but only had 874 yards and 4 touchdowns. Part of that has to do with the offensive scheme, but another part of that is there is no other target on the outside ...

San Francisco 49ers: Kyle Williams Not The Only One To Blame

Kyle Williams. All the finger pointing has been going towards the direction of the second year wide receiver after the San Francisco 49ers fell short against the New York Giants in the NFC championship game. Williams had two costly fumbles that eventually resulted in 10 points for the Giants. The crucial fumble coming in overtime, this gave the Giants great field position to set...

Kyle Williams of the 49ers has been receiving death threats for his playoff performance

Some 49ers fans hope that he dies down there. When you play a sport you're looked at and judged by everybody who's a fan. The 49ers lost a heart breaker to the Giants last Sunday in a very close game for a bid to go to the Superbowl. Some 49ers fans aren't so quick to forgive a poor performance, and some think that he should probably die. Twitter is a great tool...

Time for Niners Fans To Get A Grip, Part II

Kyle Williams was not supposed to be in this situation. Ted Ginn was the main punt returner for the San Francisco 49ers. Unfortunately, Ted was injured and could not play, so he had to step up. Unfortunately for Kyle, he muffed two punts, which cost his team ten points.  Team loses by a margin smaller than that. Sure, you can curse him all you want, but going mental on him via...

White Sox GM feels son's pain after 49ers' loss

White Sox general manager Ken Williams is still feeling his son's pain. Kyle Williams of the San Francisco 49ers muffed one punt and fumbled another in last Sunday's NFC championship game as the New York Giants earned a berth in the Super Bowl. His fumble in overtime set up Lawrence Tynes' winning field goal in New York's 20-17 victory. ''As a father, it...

On Kyle Williams

var addthis_product = 'wpp-252'; var addthis_config = {"data_track_clickback":true};Over the past few days Kyle Williams, the 49ers kick returner who had the two key turnovers against the Giants, has been receiving tons and tons and tons of hate. Hate on the radio. Hate on TV. Hate on blogs. Hate on Twitter. To these people, the haters, I offer this message of love...

NFL: No illegal Giants hits on Williams (AP)

The NFL on Tuesday said there were no illegal hits by the Super Bowl-bound New York Giants on 49ers return man Kyle Williams during the NFC championship game. Williams fumbled a punt in overtime of San Francisco's 20-17 loss Sunday, and the misplay set up Lawrence Tynes' winning field goal. Afterward, New York's Jacquian Williams and Devin Thomas indicated they were trying to hit...

A Look Back At the NFC Championship Game

After a bitter defeat to the New York Giants in this past Sunday’s NFC Championship game,  the San Francisco 49ers still have a lot to be proud of. When you really break down Sunday’s NFC Championship game,  it was clear that it could have gone either way.  Both the 49ers and the Giants came to play and gave all they could to win. Like so many other NFL games,  this one...

Giants' Boley: 'You don't think about someone's past injuries'

After their win over the 49ers, two Giants players involved with the key turnover by Kyle Williams said they targeted the punt returner because of a history of concussions. On Tuesday, Michael Boley said targeting doesn't happen. Who to believe?

49ers KO'd; Brian Jennings to Pro Bowl

After a heartbreaking 20-17 overtime loss by the 49ers in the NFC Championship game to the Giants on a day where Alex Smith reverted back to his usual, relatively ineffective self and Kyle Williams fumbled the game away on two different occasions, as a "need player" by the Packers...
