Los Angeles Rams 2024 Schedule: Top 5 QBs the Rams Must Face

The Buffalo Bills had to tear their team down to the studs. One obvious stud on their team is Josh Allen. While the team traded away Stefon Diggs, they added Curtis Samuel in free agency and Keon Coleman in the draft. It could be tight end Dalton Kincaid‘s breakout season. He finished last season with the two best games of his career.

The last time the Bills played the Rams in the 2022 season opener, Allen had one of the best games of his career. He completed almost 84 percent of his passes, throwing 297 yards, and three touchdowns. He added 56 yards on the ground with four first downs runs and a rushing touchdown.

Aaron Rodgers, New York Jets

He’s coming off a torn Achilles and he isn’t a spring chicken, but the last time we saw him play a full game, Aaron Rodgers was still a great QB. The Jets added protection for Rodgers in the draft, adding offensive tackle Olumuyiwa Fashanu with the 11th pick in the draft, and snagged an offensive weapon; wide receiver Malachi Corley. The Jets also picked up former Los Angeles Chargers receiver Mike Williams.

With the clock ticking for Rodgers and for head coach Robert Selah’s job security, the Jets will be coming out guns blazing

Jared Goff, Detroit Lions

Jared Goff has found his second act in Detroit. After posting his worst statistical season since his rookie year, Goff is back to being an efficient and effective NFL passer. He posted the sixth-best success rate in the league and threw for more than 4400 yards, including 59 touchdown passes in each of the last two seasons.

Detroit focused mainly on building the defense in free agency and the draft, but Sam Laporta and Amon-Ra St. Brown should continue to be high-production options for Goff.

Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears

A rookie is a rookie is a rookie. What gives Caleb Williams a leg up is that the Bears roster isn’t bad. And that was even before they added wide receivers Keenan Allen in free agency and Rome Odunze in the draft. They also added protection along the offensive line by drafting Kiran Amegadjie from Yale.

Williams will have rookie blunders at times, but he will also look electric at other times and, regardless, he will make life hard on the Rams defense as a playmaker.

Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles

The reports of Jalen Hurt’s demise are greatly exaggerated. The Eagles didn’t have a great Super Bowl hangover season but Hurts still proved to be a top 10 quarterback in the league. His only big statistical regression was throwing interceptions. He threw an outstanding six interceptions in 2022 and a paltry 15 in 2023.

The interesting stat to look at then is turnover-worthy plays, a PFF stat that tracks passes that have a high percentage chance to be intercepted. Hurts added just an additional four turnover-worthy plays in 2023 from 2022. Meaning Hurts didn’t put the ball in harm’s way. Defenses just did a better job creating turnovers against the Eagles in 2023.

Hurts had one of the best games of his 2023 season against the Rams. He threw 303 yards and a touchdown. Rams defenders had a tough time keeping him in the pocket. Hurts rushed for 72 yards, picking up eight first downs and a rushing touchdown.
