By Jeremy Gottlieb, Patriots Daily Staff OK, class, today’s lesson is a very important one so naturally, it starts with a very important question: At what point does it become OK to be worried/anxious/disappointed following a win? Because in the case of the Patriots, now just one game away from the start of the post-season, that time feels very, very near. It’s hard to come to many other conclusions after Saturday’s 27-24 win over the Miami Dolphins, their seventh consecutive victory, yet another week in which the Pats failed to play a complete game and fell way behind before relying on their own experience and their opponent’s lack thereof to come back and take it. The Pats trailed the Dolphins 17-0 at halftime, had four three-and-outs and punted six times over that stretch while simultaneously allowing still one more journeyman, bottom-of-the-ladder QB carve them to shreds and look like a Hall-of-Famer in the process. Of course, everything changed at halftime. Adjustments were mad...

Tom Brady 2007 vs. Aaron Rodgers 2011: Which Season Is Tops?

I wrote an article earlier in the year that looked at Aaron Rodgers vs Tom Brady. The debate was pretty simple and still is. If we are comparing careers, Brady is better. He has played nearly a decade longer, so that is to be expected. On the other side if we are comparing recent success, then Rodgers is clearly the favorite. But today we compare history against what will soon...

Tom Brady Not Thinking About 5,000 Yards, Chasing Drew Brees' Passing Record

FOXBORO, Mass. -- Patriots quarterback Tom Brady says he doesn't entertain the thought of achieving a significant passing milestone during Sunday's regular-season finale against the Bills. Brady has 4,897 passing yards through 15 games, which is already the fourth most in one season in NFL history. With 103 yards (Brady has hit that mark in 153 of his 159 regular-season starts...

Report; Brady Misses Practice to Get Shoulder Checked

According to Tom Curran of CSNNE.com,  Patriots quarterback Tom Brady didn’t participate in practice on Wednesday,  since he went to get an x-ray done on his shoulder to check for a shoulder separation. Everything has checked out just fine and Brady should be fine going forward.

Patriots say Brady’s absence is not injury related

Tom Brady “dinged” his shoulder during Saturday’s win over the Dolphins and he missed practice Wednesday, but the Patriots say those two events are not related. Brady’s absence was officially listed as was “not injury related” on the injury report released Wednesday. Tackle Sebastian Vollmer (foot) and guard Logan Mankins (knee) also missed practice. If…

How the Patriots suddenly handled the Dolphins blitzing… and links!

At the beginning of the game against the Dolphins, it was a mess. Tom Brady was getting harassed, more than at any point over the last three years, and the Patriots looked lost. That helped lead to a 17-point deficit. The Dolphins blitzed on 10 of their first 13 plays and pummeled Brady and a makeshift offensive line. Then, it all changed. Suddenly, they were protecting. Suddenly...

Week 17 QB Rankings: Tom Brady Owners In For Big Day?

If you’re league is still competing and you just happen to own Tom Brady you, my friend, are in luck. The Patriots must win this week against the Buffalo Bills if they are to secure home-field advantage, and ta boot, they are 22-1 in regular season home games, meaning, not only is Brady slated to play a full four, but he is also in  line for a potential shootout with Ryan...

If they're not on track for a Super meeting a week later, Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady will be seeing each other in Hawaii for the Pro Bowl.

Week 16 Risers and Fallers: A Tale of Two Halves

In a disturbing trend, the Patriots started off slow. Well, that might be an understatement. By the end of the half, Tom Brady and the offense had gone scoreless on seven drives while the defense surrendered 17 points to Matt Moore. Whatever was said in the locker room at halftime certainly did the job, as the second half was a totally different story. Brady put the team on his...
