According to Tony Grossi at the Plain Dealer it looks like the Browns hiring Eric Mangini is inevitable. Of course, as we posted yesterday, a Mangini hire would almost certainly mean a George Kokinis GM hire.
Let's look at this from a fans perspective. We once again hire from the Belichick tree, we hire a former Patriots defensive coordinator and we follow that up with the pro personnel director for the Ravens. Sound familiar? It should because that is exactly what we did four years ago that brought us to this exact point.
Or is it? If you do your homework, you will see that although on the surface this looks similar, deep down this is a very different situation.
