The Denver Broncos are going to be busy transforming themselves into Peyton Manning's football team and they took another step in that direction Tuesday, signing former Colt and Bronco Brandon Stokley.
Manning and Stokley know each other well from their time together in Indy from 2003-06. Stokley was a key player in the Colts offense as a slot receiver and helped Manning put up record breaking numbers.
Stokley played in only two games with the New York Giants last season, catching just one pass before being released.
Fantasy PPR Analysis: The signing of Stokley has generated quite a bit of buzz and I really do not see why. He's in his late 30's now and there are real doubts about whether his body can handle the rigors of an NFL season, nor is he even a lock to make the roster. The contract details can give us a better idea of Denver's thinking with this move.
As for Stokley's fantasy value, the best case scenario is him making the team as the 3rd receiver and catching 50-60 passes. Nothing more than a bye week option for fantasy owners. Do not waste.a pick on this player. To much risk health wise. You want the players on your bench to have upside and at this stage of his career, Stokley has a very low ceiling, which hurts his fantasy value even more.

DENVER- From that infamous footage of his fight with his longtime center Jeff Saturday to the way he controls the field, it’s impossible to buy into the idea that Peyton Manning honestly believes that he’s just a regular Joe on a 52 man roster.
That seems to be the approach he is taking to life in his new digs in Denver or at least that is what he’s projecting.
It could be...
The 2011 season ended in a Mile High heartbreak for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Tim Tebow and Demaryius Thomas connected on an 80-yard TD play on the first play from scrimmage in OT in a wild-card game to cut short a Steelers’ season far short of expectations.
The Steelers won’t have to wait long for another crack at Denver – although a very different QB will be under center...

Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos officially started Organized Team Activities (OTAs) Monday at Dove Valley. The place was buzzing with excitement as old and new Broncos got acquainted during their first official workout with coach Luke Richesson, the new strength and conditioning coach.
The start of OTAs weren't the only news coming out of Dove Valley today as they were...
Some of the best quarterbacks in the NFL will visit the Georgia Dome as Atlanta Falcons' opponents in 2012 and the headliner will be the newest, most prominent Denver Bronco -- Peyton Manning -- in Week 2.
Manning and his head coach John Fox no stranger to the Georgia Dome as the former long-time head coach of the Carolina Panthers will visit on Monday, Sept. 17.
Peyton Manning will play his first game as a member of the Denver Broncos at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The contest is just one of four primetime games in the NFL's kickoff week for the 2012 season.
The New York Giants will open the 2012 regular season at home against the NFC East rival Dallas Cowboys. That game will be played on Wednesday, Sept. 5 on NBC.

An NFL source tells the Denver Post that the Broncos will play host to the Steelers in the first NBC Sunday Night Football contest on September 9.
This game will be one of an expected handful of primetime matchups for the Broncos, who’ve unsurprisingly...
Gotta love this time of year when everyone pretends like they can count wins and losses based on some preconceived notions of what teams are and what they will be for 17 straight weeks! NFL.com isn’t very optimistic about the Browns chances.
Let’s play “Find the win so the Browns can avoid going 0-16.” They’ll be huge underdogs in every game they play against much more...
The Texans will play a franchise-record five games on national television in 2012, including on Thanksgiving Day for the first time in team history.
The NFL released team schedules Tuesday evening and the Texans will be prominently featured, with two Sunday night games, two Monday night games and a Thanksgiving match-up at the Detroit Lions.
For the fourth consecutive season the...
One of the first things I used to find myself doing when the NFL schedule would come out is run through the Monday Night Football schedule to see what were the must-see games and which ones were merely there to take up space on the schedule.
Now, NFL fans everywhere give much the same treatment to the NFL's new marquee game, the Sunday Night game.
And with all apologies...
The 2012 NFL Schedule has been released, as all 32 teams now know who they are playing and when each game will take place. It is always interesting to see which teams dominate the primetime slate, as well as when divisional foes first meet each other for bragging rights throughout the regular season.
While the Super Bowl champion New York Giants open up the 2012 NFL regular season...
The Denver Broncos are getting their first taste of the hurry-up-at-altitude offense that Peyton Manning will unleash on the NFL this fall if everything keeps going well with his surgically repaired neck.
