The numbers are in for Mario Manningham’s 2-year deal. And once again Paraag Marathe worked his numbers magic. Here are the numbers for that contract according to Matt Maiocco.
2-year, $7.375 million contract that includes a $2 million signing bonus and another $2.45 million in salary guarantees. Manningham’s base salaries are $1.2 million in 2012 and $3.6 million in 2013. He is scheduled to count $4.887 on the 49ers’ 2013 salary cap.
Just to show you how great the front office did on this deal, Manningham’s contract is half of what Pierre Garcon is getting in Washington and also less than the contract they gave Josh Morgan…

After the media spectacle that was the 49ers attempt to sign Peyton Manning and ditch the quarterback that led the team to the post season last year (who also looked into taking his talents to South Beach), the team resigned Alex Smith and has now signed some competition for him.
The team announced on Thursday that they had signed former Tampa Bay quarterback Josh Johnson to a two...
According to the San Francisco 49ers official Twitter page, they’ve re-signed wide receiver/kick returner Ted Ginn Jr. to a one-year deal.
Ginn only had 19 receptions for 220 yards as a receiver. His true value is as a kick/punt returner. The 49ers missed him dearly in the NFC Championship game, in which Kyle Williams fumbled two punts that helped propel the Giants to the Super...
Josh Johnson has no idea how much he'll play behind 49ers starter Alex Smith, or if the backup job is even his to earn ahead of second-year pro Colin Kaepernick.
He isn't too worried about his role just yet.
For now, Johnson is thrilled to be reunited with reigning NFL Coach of the Year Jim Harbaugh, his former college coach who took a chance on the undersized quarterback...
The 49ers inquired, but they were informed that restricted free agent wide receiver Mike Wallace is reportedly looking for a contract in the range of Larry Fitzgerald's 8-year, $120 million deal.
The San Francisco 49ers re-signed wide receiver/kick returner Ted Ginn Jr. to a one-year contract Thursday.Ginn had 19 receptions in 14 games last season, but he made most of his impact in the return game, averaging 27.6 yards on kickoffs and 12.6 yards on punts.A former first-round pick of Miami in 2007, Ginn has a combined six returns for touchdowns in his career. On Thursday, the...
The 49ers and KR/PR Specialist Ted Ginn Jr, have agreed on a new one year deal. With the return of Ginn, the 49ers do not need to look for another return specialist in the draft.
Ginn hopes to see action at the WR spot, but with the additions of Manningham and Moss, that might be hard.
In his first career tour as an unrestricted free agent, Ginn visited the Minnesota Vikings, Baltimore...
The 49ers signed free agent quarterback Josh Johnson to a two year deal today, a day after locking up Alex Smith to a three year deal. Johnson visited the 49ers today and the Oakland native wasted no time in coming to an agreement.
This signing has been inevitable. It reunites Harbaugh and Johnson, who he coached at University of San Diego.
My guess is that once the season starts...
Having played his college football at the University of San Diego under 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh, it seemed like a foregone conclusion that quarterback Josh Johnson (Buccaneers) would end up signing with San Francisco this off-season.
After getting last year’s starter Alex Smith locked up for a reasonable amount, the 49ers made that projection a reality, agreeing to a two...
According to ESPN’s Josina Anderson, the San Francisco 49ers have signed back up quarterback Josh Johnson to a two-year deal.
Johnson will reunite with 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh who coached him at the University of San Diego.
Johnson will serve as a back up to Alex Smith. He has the mobility to run and throw and he’s very similar to Robert Griffin III, but not as talented.
Receiver/return man Ted Ginn Jr. signed a one-year deal to return to the 49ers after visiting the Vikings this week.
