Lewis is currently working out back in Los Angeles. Some of the Jaguars players will be getting together starting next week for some player organized practices,  Marcedes Lewis will not be one of them. According to Tania Ganguli of The Florida Times-Union, Lewis will do his offseason training in Los Angeles until he comes to term with the Jaguars on a new long term deal. Since the NFL is currently in the midst of a lockout, the Jaguars cannot negotiate a new deal with Lewis until a new collective bargaining agreement has been put in place.  Before the lockout, the Jaguars placed the franchise tag on Lewis which would give him a one year deal worth about $7.3 million. Both sides have expressed their interest in getting a long term deal in place before the 2011 season gets underway.  With the franchise tag applied on him, Lewis can only negotiate a new deal with the Jaguars.
