Marcus Vick Now ‘Sorry’ About Giant Mess He Caused Brother Michael Vick

The ongoing saga of Michael Vick and what his future holds in Philadelphia got more complicated this week when Marcus Vick decided to spend the extent of Monday Night Football tweeting a defense of his brother and saying he wanted to be traded.

Marcus Vick’s entertaining rant, which put the blame on just about everybody but his older brother, led to Michael Vick later apologizing for his younger brother’s outburst. He said he did not, in fact, want to be traded, and he noted that the tweets were “something that I’m really going to have to address.”

One can only speculate how Michael Vick planned to “address” the situation, but it sounds like someone told Marcus Vick he was out of line. The younger Vick was back on Twitter on Tuesday morning, apologizing for the whole situation.

And by “watching as his blood,” Marcus Vick was hopefully referring to his family connection, not seeing his tweet get cut off before he went on to say something like, “watching as his blood … seeps all over the ground because the Eagles aren’t protecting him and should trade him!!!”

Marcus Vick appears to have learned his lesson, although it’s worth wondering what part Michael Vick may have had in spurring the apology.

To his credit, the Eagles quarterback again addressed the Twitter kerfuffle on Wednesday, telling reporters, "You'll never see that again" as he told his brother to "shut off the Twitter." Vick also added:

"That's not me. If it doesn't come from me ... I'm in the middle of a full-fledged game. I don't know what's being said. I don't know what's going on. But I definitely got it corrected. We definitely had a serious heart-to-heart conversation."

  • This whole idea is just stupid. They were dogs....whats the difference in slaughtering cows or pigs or shooting deer for fun. One form of entertainment is ridiculed over another. Do Do I agree withit no but neither do I agree with hunting deer. why is the killing of one animal considered sport while another is considered inhumane....whether I'm shot or bit they both hurt. 18mths is and millions of dollars is more than enough retrobution for some dogs. come on dogs. we still have statues of people that killed blacks. If I could save 1 just 1 human over 1800 dogs I'd do it all day everyday without blinking. I seriously think it would take some other people thought which is sad.     And the karma thing ... oh yeah it's working full blast.
    Stupid owner Jeff Laurie, a dog owner, is getting divorced; Coach Reid's son od'd on heroin; and the Eagles suck big time.
    Many people picketed the Eagles, myself included. Love seeing Vick POUNDED, and cheering for their opponent to win, EVERY WEEK. A team with zero ethics. Was a life long fan, no more, they disgust me. Please no comments, he served his time, which was only for dog-fighting. I read the indictment, the many forms of TORTURE he personally used on these animals would make you throw-up. A psychopathic sadist.

  • Everywhere Mike Vick goes they fire the coach... No one can believe that Vick can't live up to the hype. He is a "Coach Killer". Andy Reid has been there 14 yrs and half way through their first year with Vick as starter they wanted to fire the coach. Vick can't win football games because he's too stupid to "Effectively" read the defense. He reads the defense incorrectly then he changes the play and with it the blocking scheme. It's his own fault he's getting hammered. I don't believe Marcus Vick (Expelled from VaTech later Convicted for armed robbery) would tweet that on his own. Of course Vick said he wanted to be traded. He always blames everyone else for his shortcomings. Especially when his audience will agree with him no matter what he says ie; Family.

  • a prime example of Vicks morality. Shortly before the "dog" problems came out there was a game in which a big fright on the field broke out. Vick was on the bench at the time. He put his helmet on, ran out on the field, Hit an opponent in the back of the head, then ran back to the bench and sat down. No matter what "dues" he has paid, he will never pay enough to rise above the level of thug.
