According to Paul Schwartz of the New York Post, Giants wide receiver Mario Manningham believes he’s a number one wide receiver and wants to be paid as one, when he becomes a free agent on March 13th.

Manningham may not realize it, but he wasn’t even the Giants second best wide receiver during the 2011 season, I don’t know what makes him think he should be paid like a number one receiver.

Manningham is obviously looking to cash in on his Super Bowl catch, which I can’t be mad about.  He’s always been a playmaker, but he’s not consistent enough to be considered a top of the line NFL receiver.

In the end, there will likely be at least one team that will be willing to over pay for him, and he’ll get the money he’s looking for.
