Mario Williams Texted Bills About Surgery - It turns out, Buffalo Bills defensive end Mario Williams has not only been invisible on the field but silent off it. When Williams had arthroscopic surgery on his wrist Tuesday, it was much to the surprise of the Bills. Team sources say Williams was a no-show Monday before he texted a trainer and his defensive line coach to say he was getting a second opinion on his wrist and, subsequently, that he was undergoing arthroscopic surgery. Then he said he would be back for practice Monday and expects to play next Sunday against his former team, the Houston Texans. The Bills were fined $20,000 for failure to disclose Williams’ wrist injury earlier this season, which is a drop in the bucket compared with the $100 million the Bills gave him as a free agent. Time For Williams To Prove His Worth

Since week one, all Bills fans have heard about is this ailing wrist that Mario Williams is dealing with. Williams has attributed it to his poor play during his first seven games as a Bill, constantly saying that it’s hampering him because of the pain. Now, that should be behind him. During the Bills bye-week, Williams had a “mystery procedure” done to alleviate the pain and...

Buffalo Bills linked to possible Dwayne Bowe trade

The Buffalo Bills could be a team interested in Kansas City Chiefs star wide receiver Dwayne Bowe, who recently requested a trade. According to Greg Maiola of the Bleacher Report, Buffalo would be a good fit for Bowe, who has caught 34 passes for 423 yards and three touchdowns. Bowe is currently in a one-year deal worth $9.515 million and will be a free agent at the end of the...

C.J. Spiller in the running for the Pro Bowl

Profootballfocus.com, a website which looks at NFL statistics and grades player’s performances, has ranked Spiller as one of the top running backs to represent the AFC in this year’s Pro Bowl. “He came into the year as the second choice halfback on his own team, and is currently our starting...

Buffalo Bills DE Mario Williams: Procedure will lead to better second half

No one has better epitomized the first half of the Buffalo Bills' 2012 season than Mario Williams. The $100 million man has only registered 3.5 sacks while often being unable to beat single blockers and sometimes getting pushed around on the field by tight ends. He's been a non-factor for much of the year, just like the rest of a defensive unit that's posting one...

Buffalo Bills leave bye week in third place in AFC East

A New England Patriots cross-ocean win and a Miami Dolphins blowout of the New York Jets result in the Buffalo Bills leaving their bye week in third place in the AFC East. The Patriots got 127 rushing yards from Stevan Ridley and four Tom brady touchdown passes to crush the St. Louis Rams 45-7 Sunday in London. Rob Gronkowski came out of hibernation for the Pats, catching eight...

Reeling Buffalo defense searches for answers

As the Buffalo Bills get back to practice after their bye, they have a litany of issues that must be worked through. However, there's no doubt the most pressing problem is the woeful defense, which is on pace to have the worst statistical season in franchise history despite supposed personnel upgrades in the offseason. Coach Chan Gailey said he has complete confidence in defensive...

KSK Interview: George Wilson

Last Friday during his bye week, we got a chance to speak with George Wilson, the starting strong safety for the Buffalo Bills, who is now in his seventh year in the league. Wilson is the team’s union representative, so we asked him about what he thinks about the recent decision by Roger Goodell to recuse himself from the Saints bounty appeals progress. He also asked him about...

Is Mario Williams a streaky player?

Whenever I hear someone talk about a player being streaky, I automatically think of Thomas Vanek. I'm not sure if that is fair, because some people say ALL scorers are streaky while others don't believe in that.  One day, I'll be sure to do a post on here to compare Vanek to other scorers in the NHL. For today, I'm going to check out if Mario Williams is a streaky...
