According to Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPNNewYork.com, linebackers Mark Herzlich and Spencer Paysinger seem like the favorites to replace Chase Blackburn and Michael Boley. Herzlich and Paysinger may be the front-runners to replace Chase Blackburn and Michael Boley, but the Giants do have lots of other options — including free agent acquisition Dan Conner, and Jacquian Williams, who is recovering from a knee injury and did limited work Thursday for the first time this spring. “This is basically a new group of guys. I think the biggest thing right now is, we’re going out and learning what to do, and competing,” Giants linebackers coach Jim Hermann said. “And to me the competition is going to keep going and keep going and keep going, which is gonna make us all better.” Keith Rivers has been starting alongside Herzlich and Paysinger during OTA’s.  Going into training all three look like the front-runners to start this season.  But the Giants have other young players that are hungry.  The battle at linebacker is going to be fun to watch this summer.   Need NFL Tickets?
