It’s been a tough week for the New York Jets. First they lost big to the Seahawks 28-7, then anonymous players ripped backup quarterback Tim Tebow in the press. And, oh yeah, their starting quarterback isn’t very good, either. No matter, taking on the mantra of their defiant head coach, Rex Ryan, the team is dismissing all the haters, and sporting the apparel to show it. Some time this week the Jets distributed shirts which read “We will persist” to players, as seen modeled by Mark Sanchez. Some might argue that perhaps the Jets should stick to worrying about stuff on the field rather than sticking to their talking points, but hey, if moralizing clothing is your thing, check out the Jets’ new shirts below. Jets’ owner says Mark Sanchez is their “franchise quarterback”

New York Jets owner Woody Johnson told the media on Thursday that they’re going to evaluate quarterback Mark Sanchez just like any other player on the team. “Mark is a player on the team,” Johnson said, via the New York Daily News. “We’re going to evaluate him as we do the other players. He’ll be evaluated just like anybody else.” Then Johnson slightly changed his tune...

New York Jets – Rex and Sanchez Try To Save Each Other

As the Jets offense continues to struggle while the losses pile up, we wonder about what this will mean at seasons end for both Rex Ryan and Mark Sanchez. The Jets starting QB is once again demonstrating poor body language and self admittedly has become affected by the Tebow substitutions, leading to making too many poor decisions at crucial times. Ryan meanwhile, is defiantly sticking...

Jets say they’re close to clicking as a team

During a conference call on Monday, New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez insisted that his team is close to bringing everything together and turning things around. “All those things, once they hit and they go right, this thing turns so quick it’ll make your head spin,” Sanchez told reporters, via USA TODAY Sports. “I just know guys, talking to them on the plane last night...

Time for Rex to admit Sanchez is not his ‘guy’

I am pretty sure I lost a bet earlier this season when I predicted Mark Sanchez would be benched by Week 10. At the start of the 2012 season, things were looking okay for the Jets. All they really needed to focus on is getting through a tough first half, fix mistakes during the bye, and storm through a much easier second-half schedule. But, the Jets did not do what they needed to...

Tim Tebow Ripped by Anonymous Teammates, Reportedly Called ‘Terrible’ by One Jets Player

The horrid play of Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez along with the team’s 3-6 record has some fans and pundits calling for the Jets to finally make the move and insert Tim Tebow as starting quarterback. That might be a popular decision among the masses outside of Rex Ryan‘s tear-filled locker room, but inside, Tebow has anything but the support of his Gang Green teammates. The polarizing...

Shonn Greene denies that he wants Mark Sanchez to be replaced

New York Jets running back Shonn Greene did not have many nice things to say about teammate Mark Sanchez during his interview with Michael Silver of Yahoo! Sports on Wednesday, but at least he attached his name to the quotes. Greene said he felt badly for Sanchez, but it seemed clear that he believes the Jets need to give Tim Tebow a shot given their 3-6 record with Sanchez starting...

Rather than wasting time with Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow, the New York Jets should start former Alabama standout Greg McElroy at quarterback

After yet another putrid performance in Sunday’s 28-7 loss to the Seahawks at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Washington, it is more evident than ever that Mark Sanchez is a quarterback incapable of making the New York Jets a winning organization. … Continue reading →

Bart Scott defends himself over Tebow comments

Former New York Jets running back LaDanian Tomlison said he believes he knows who called Tebow "terrible" in a report by the New York Daily News on Wednesday.   Tomlison said on his Sirius XM Radio Show Wednesday that after reading the quotes he believes cornerback Antonio Cromartie and linebacker Bart Scott were the ones ripping Tebow. Scott fired back at Tomlison telling...

Tim Tebow’s teammates believe he’s a “terrible” quarterback

Even though the New York Jets are currently sitting at 3-6, it looks like no one within the organization believes in Tim Tebow as a  possible replacement for Mark Sanchez..  This is one of the reasons he’s still backing up Sanchez.. “He’s terrible,” a Jets defensive starter told the New York Daily News. Jets left guard Matt Slauson says Sanchez is far and above better than...

Turn On The Jets Week 11 Roundtable – Jets vs. Rams Match-Ups

Joe Caporoso - I hate to reiterate what most of our writers are saying but how could you not look forward to Rex Ryan’s defense versus Brian Schottenheimer’s offense? Without question a low point in a year full of them would be to watch Schottenheimer hang a 35 spot on Ryan. Considering how much crap Schotty took while he was here and how much pride Rex takes in his defense...

Jets players rip the idea of starting Tebow at quarterback

A contingent of New York Jets players have vocally expressed their concern about the prospect of Tim Tebow replacing Mark Sanchez as the team's starting quarterback and essentially claim that the Tebow experiment is nothing more than a gimmick. In an article by Manish Mehta of The New York Daily News, more than a dozen Jets players — mostly unnamed — told the reporter why...

Week 10 – Things That Caught My Eye

It’s been a while and I do apologize. I live in the Northeast, NJ to be exact and the past few weeks, mother nature has not been a friend but that’s all history now. Now, let’s talk a little Week 10. Many teams I’m sure felt this way this week No People, It’s Not Tebow-Time People aren’t going to believe me when I say that I am not a NY Jets fan because it always seems...
