Martellus Bennett, as we've come to know him, is not afraid to speak his mind, once referring to himself as Greek god Atlas.

His latest proclamation is a bit more current, but equally as outlandish.

Following his game-winning touchdown reception against the Vikings on Sunday, the veteran tight end intimated that he's the Muhammad Ali of the Bears' offense.

"They told me, 'Man, how are you so slippery, you're so big?' " Bennett said, via the Chicago Tribune. "I was like, 'I'm Muhammad Ali out here.' "

It's an exaggeration, sure, but Bennett has definitely stepped up his play this season. He has 10 receptions for 125 yards and three touchdowns through two games, proving to be a safety blanket for quarterback Jay Cutler.

"Whenever he's gotten opportunities to make plays, he's made some big ones," Cutler said of Bennett.

Cutler must be happy to be graced with Bennett's presence, considering Chicago's previous starting tight end, Kellen Davis, recorded just 19 catches and two scores in 2012.

But the all important question: Is Bennett more of a butterfly or a bee?

“I am a little bit of both," he said. "I’m sweet. I move like a butterfly and I sting like a bee. I’m a little bit of both. I like to be a butterfly because sometimes you have to spread your wings and – have you ever tried to catch a butterfly with your hands? You can’t do it. You need a net. They’ve got butterfly nets just for catching butterflies."

We'll take his word for it.
