Tony Romo isn't worried one bit about the first-team offense's lack of big plays during the preseason.
Romo's unit had double-digit-play touchdown drives in each of the three games, but he has only one pass of 20 yards or more, a checkdown to Felix Jones that the electric back turned into a 42-yard gain. Romo believes the lack of big plays is primarily because of a vanilla offensive plan for preseason games, not a symptom of the Post-T.O. Syndrome.
"We definitely have enough weapons," Romo said.
One of those weapons is Martellus Bennett, who might be the primary big-play threat in the Cowboys' passing attack.
We saw daily flashes of Bennett's big-play ability for the first couple weeks of training camp. We also saw all sorts of creative wrinkles out of the two-tight end personnel grouping.
