Fantasy Football Champs:
Kansas City quarterback Matt Cassel reached 300 yards in a game for the first time since 2010 Sunday in a blowout loss versus Buffalo.Fantasy Spin:Obviously most of the yardage came in garbage time with the Bills already up by 20 so take Cassel's gaudy numbers with a grain of salt. He still struggled with completion percentage (54.8 percent for the game) and his QB rating for the game was only 83.5. Don't expect this kind of production from Cassel on a week-to-week basis.
BEST OF MAXIM
Kansas City tight end Kevin Boss has taken a shot to the head following a second-quarter catch and will not return to Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills.
After catching a 29-yard pass from Matt Cassel, Boss was falling down when Buffalo's Da'Norris Searcy's forearm hit the back of Boss' head. The receiver's head then hit the ground hard.
Kansas City starting cornerback Brandon Flowers is active for the Chiefs game against the Buffalo Bills Sunday.
Flowers missed the team's season-opening loss to Atlanta last week because of a right heel injury.
The Chiefs also welcomed back pro Bowl linebacker Tamba Hali, who missed the Falcons game because of a league-mandated suspension.

(Eds: Incorporates FBN--Chiefs-Charles. With AP Photos.) By DAVE SKRETTA AP Sports Writer The running game has disappeared. Matt Cassel looks completely lost. The defense has struggled to stop anybody, and even the special teams are looking anything but special.
The Kansas City Chiefs are winless through two games - two demoralizing, one-sided losses to begin the year - and now...
Here we go again Chiefs fans. In two weeks the Chiefs have gone from promising to forgotten. Losing to a perennial playoff contender is one thing but being blown out by a perennial loser that lost by 20 the week before is a whole other monster. On the very small bright side, at least we didn’t lose by 34 like last year. I’m not sure if the Buffalo Bills have the Chiefs...
Week 2 and 3 are some of the most interesting weeks of the NFL season. It's at this point in the year that fanbases begin to realize that their team may not be what they thought they had. On the other hand, some teams are stunning everyone by getting off to a quick start. No one is dead in the water yet, but this is the time of the season when panic begins to spread.
“Lifeless” would be the best word to describe the Kansas City Chiefs in Buffalo today.Sure C.J. Spiller is a fine running back, and has some elusiveness but the Chiefs made him look better than he is today. In Pittsburgh former Chiefs head coach, Todd Haley, had to enjoy keeping an eye on this game. While the Steelers prepared to face the Jets today, I am sure hot head Todd,...
Kansas City Chiefs – 17, Buffalo Bills – 35Ugly ugly ugly is all you can say about the Chiefs’ effort, especially QB Matt Cassel’s (304 total yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT) through about three and half quarters. Two late touchdown passes with the game already decided are the only things that saved Cassel’s fantasy day. At some point, the Chiefs have to wonder if there’s any...
In the aftermath of their second consecutive double-digit loss, the Kansas City Chiefs did have some positives that came out of Sunday’s loss.
With two games in the books on the 2012 season, the Kansas City Chiefs are showing they’re far from the team many felt defensively they’d be at this stage of the season. So who gets the blame?
Welcome to Week 2 of True or False. Before we look at this week’s questions, here is a look at the current standings.
Mike Straw: 4-1
Michael Bundt: 4-1
Brandon Hess: 3-2
Ryan Talbot: 2-3
Clearly I wanted to give the other writers a head start in this new weekly feature. This week Michael Bundt, Brandon Hess, Rob Quinn, and I answer this week’s questions.

There are some intriguing names available on the waiver wire this week. The key word is intriguing because none of these players are going to turn your season around. However, there are some nice grab and stash options that could pay dividends later in the season.
In this short post I go over the Sit ‘em & Start ‘em pick that I made before the weekend, I give a list of players who had breakout games and could be worth a waiver wire pickup. Get a hold of me on Twitter: @Blackie_Mike
Cassel was one of just a few players who came threw for me in week two by throwing for 300 yards against the Bills.
