Matt Schaub had every chance to reach the Super Bowl while he was in Houston. He had a superb running back behind him to take pressure off of him, in Arian Foster. Foster is not just good, he could end up being historically good. Also Schaub was blessed with a great defense led by athletic monster, JJ Watt. How many quarterbacks would kill to have a defense like that to keep the score tight and to give his offense great field position? All the fault cannot lie with Matt Schaub for what happened in Houston. The head coach had some guilt in the fall from Super Bowl favorite to seller dweller. That is why Gary Kubiak is no longer the head coach there. I really do not know how he lasted as long as he did. Schaub has now went from a potential great situation with the Texans, although 2013 was a poor indicator of that, to the desert filled with skeletons of long forgotten quarterbacks. The Raider landscape is littered with names like Jeff George, JaMarcus Russell, and Carson Palmer. It is...

Report: Raiders “expected to trade” for QB Matt Schaub

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Raiders are expected to trade the Houston Texans a late round 2014 draft pick in exchange for QB Matt Schaub. Oakland Raiders Trade Series: Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears play in one of the toughest divisions in football, the NFC North. They have to be able to stop the likes of QBs Aaron Rodgers and Matthew Stafford twice a season since they are in the same division. Their division also boasts some of the best defenses. This makes having a stellar defense themselves a must. The free agency moves they have made indicate that they...

Raiders’ trade for Schaub is final piece to draft flexibility

The Raiders addressed their top position of need, yesterday, by trading the Texans for QB Matt Schaub. In doing so, they have given themselves extreme Draft flexibility. While the Raiders have need for depth and long-term solutions at every single position, their free agency strategy has bought them some time by signing productive, older vets who can hopefully give them another...
