If there is one positive for the Jacksonville Jaguars to take out of the 2011 season it has been the performance of their star running back Maurice Jones-Drew.
Jones-Drew continued his strong season on Saturday as he racked up 103 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries in the Jaguars 23-17 loss to the division rival Tennessee Titans on Saturday.
With only one game left in the 2011 season, Jones-Drew has racked up 1,437 yards on the ground. His closest competitor for the rushing title is Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy who trails Jones-Drew by 128 yards. It would seem that it would be a major upset if anybody besides Jones-Drew took home the title.
Despite his outstanding personal performance this season, Jones-Drew is more worried about how his team has struggled as a whole on the offensive side of the ball this season.
“What do you want me to say about the personal goals?” Jones-Drew asked the media following the game. “It doesn’t mean anything. I mean, we’re 4-11....
