The Jacksonville Jaguars have their first All-Pro since 2006.
Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew, who ran for a league high 1,606 yards this season, was named to the Associated Press 2011 NFL All-Pro first team.
The only other players in Jaguars franchise history to be named to the first team were offensive lineman Tony Boselli (1997-99), punter Brian Barker (1997), linebacker Kevin Hardy (1999) and cornerback Rashean Mathis (2006).
Jones-Drew was selected by 40 of the 50 media members who vote for the All-Pro team.
The news comes on the heels of Jones-Drew being selected to his third Pro Bowl. He had a remarkable season that saw him set both the franchise record for career touchdowns and most rushing yards in a season. His 1,980 total yards from scrimmage this season accounted for 47.7 percent of the Jaguars total offensive output this season.
The only other Jaguars player to receive a vote for the All-Pro team this year was kicker Josh Scobee, who only received a single vote.
