Sportsday:
The Dallas Cowboys cornerbacks -- Terence Newman and Mike Jenkins -- prevented Philadelphia wide receiver DeSean Jackson from hitting on his trademark big plays in Sunday's game. Punter Mat McBriar took Jackson out of his return game.
Jackson returned only one of five punts, for nine yards. The other four punts testified to McBriar's growing skills at hang time and directional accuracy. Jackson took two fair catches and watched the other two punts go out of bounds, at the Eagles 18- and 21-yard lines. Of McBriar's last 27 punts, 17 have resulted in the opponent starting a possession inside its 20.
