Raiders running back Darren McFadden has exceeded 52 rushing yards once this season. The outlier came in Week 2, when he had 129 yards on 19 carries. His high output came against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the bingo equivalent of a free space. He has 267 yards and two touchdowns over 69 carries, a lackluster sum due to injury or ineffectiveness. Neither has helped what McFadden hoped to be a resurgent season. He had 113 yards and a touchdown against the Steelers last season, as part of an uneven campaign. This time around, McFadden views Sunday’s home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers as a chance to get on track and stay there. He’s fully recovered from a hamstring strain that cut the Washington game short, kept him out against San Diego and gave the Chiefs a shadow of himself. “I’m feeling as good as you can this time of year,” McFadden said after Friday’s practice. “I’m looking forward to getting out there and getting loose on Sunday.” Doing so against the Pittsburgh Steel...

Raiders, Steelers seek consistency at midseason

Darren McFadden's father told him there would be days like Sunday - games against physical defenses like the Steelers - and he didn't tell his son to juke anybody. "My dad always told me to go out and punish the tackler," the Raiders' running back said Friday. "It's something that always sticks in my mind when I'm running." Pittsburgh has...

Terrelle Pryor sets NFL record with 93-yard TD run

Terrelle Pryor might never make it into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but he’s already got his name etched into the record books. Pryor had the most rushing yards of any quarterback (285) in the NFL entering Sunday’s game, and he unleashed his breakaway speed once again on Sunday. The third-year quarterback gashed the Steelers for 93 yards on the first play from scrimmage on...

Oakland Raiders Should Cut Jacoby Ford

When Jared Veldheer and Tyvon Branch come back from injury, the Oakland Raiders will be forced to cut some players. I think that Jacoby Ford should be one of those players cut. Not only has Ford shown that he has the toughness of Darren McFadden but he has lost that explosive speed that we all used to love. During today’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Jacoby Ford made a...

Raiders Defensive Front Put in Tight Spots, But Prevails Against Steelers

The Oakland Raiders began the game explosively offense with Terrelle Pryor’s galloping 93 yard touchdown run from scrimmage and the defense seemed to respond in kind. Raiders coach guilty of major foul

People were angry on Sunday, including me. You had players yelling at their own teammates, you had players and coaches yelling at one another and I even got irritated at a faulty machine in the Ice Cube at the FOX Network Center while watching all of the games. Wonder if it's got anything to do with Obamacare ... Seriously, though, a play took place in the Pittsburgh-Oakland...

Raiders rely on defense to gut out win versus Steelers, 21-18

The Raiders moved to 3-4 in a rocky win over the Pittsburgh Steelers this afternoon. Still, with wins difficult to come by in the NFL, any victory is welcomed for both the Raiders team and fans. The highlight of the game took place on the first offensive snap of the game, when the Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor faked a handoff to Darren McFadden that caused most of the Steelers...
