Just last week, Colts quarterback Peyton Manning thought he was going to meet with owner Jim Irsay to discuss his future with the team. Right now, it looks like Irsay hasn’t even scheduled a meeting with Manning as his fate continues to be dragged out. Irsay posted the following message on Friday on his Twitter account, “Things r quiet this week n weekend, getting ready for NFL Combine, completing coaching staff, analyzing roster. There’s no new news on Peyton.” As Manning waits to meet with Irsay, I have to believe he’d rather just get it over with and be on his way.  We all know Manning will be released, it’s time for Irsay to stop stalling and move on already.

QB Peyton Manning, Colts Don't Meet This Week, No Meeting Planned

The waiting game continues with Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts according to Mike Chappell of the Indianapolis Star. Despite anticipation a meeting would take place this week to at least begin the process of determining the rehabilitating quarterback's future with the team, that did not occur. On his Twitter account, owner Jim Irsay wrote: "Things r quiet this...

Manning throws at Duke University

Peyton Manning worked out Wednesday at Duke University, according to a tweet from a Blue Devils player. "Got to stretch next to Peyton Manning today and say hello," center Matt Skura tweeted.

Assorted NFL Thoughts

Tom Brady has become Peyton Manning (great record, regular-season stats, but can't win the big one), while ironically Eli Manning has become the old Tom Brady (clutch, big-game QB, more modest stats). While Peyton Manning's record of seven straight 12-win seasons from 2003-2009 is unlikely to be matched, and also bracketed by 10-win seasons, putting that streak at nine...
