Shawne Merriman will be at his alma mater tonight for his (Wednesday) 9th annual coat drive. Merriman’s coat drive will run in conjunction with the Maryland-Wake Forest tip off at the Comcast Center on the University of Maryland campus. The items collected during this drive will go to the Creative Community for Non-Violence Shelter in Washington D.C. and those in need throughout the local area. Donations of any new or gently used coats, hats, scarves and mittens will be collected at gates A and E inside of the Comcast Center. For those unable to make it to the game, items can be dropped off in the Academic Center on the first floor of the Comcast Center from 9-5 pm until January 13th. Merriman will be on hand tonight to sign autographs. For more information go to Merriman’s website.
