Bills LB Shawne Merriman was seen heading into the team weight room earlier this week and even tweeted that he’s back to jogging after getting Achilles surgery. Head coach Chan Gailey tried to provide an update on the veteran linebacker’s rehab regimen. “It really is just things that I’ve heard,” said Gailey in relation to Merriman’s rehab. ”I haven’t talked to him personally. I can only tell you what I’ve heard from our training staff. Everything is on go moving forward. It looked like everything went well in the surgery and it was clean. So hopefully he’ll get a clean bill of healthy and he’ll be closer to 100 percent than he was at any point this season.” Merriman appeared in just five games this season registering nine tackles and a sack.
