With both teams' seasons starting to look grim, a win Thursday night is nothing short of essential for the Miami Dolphins & Buffalo Bills. While Miami looks to get back to the .500 record they've flirted with all season, Buffalo will have to play without starting running back Fred Jackson after a concussion he sustained in the Bills' loss to New England on Sunday. There may be a silver lining in light of Jackson's injury, however, in the form of C.J. Spiller.Spiller, who took over for Jackson following a leg injury in Week 1, leads the team in rushing yards (632) as well as leading the league in yards per carry (7.3). It'll be interesting to see how touches head coach Chan Gailey gives Spiller, as he's never had more than 19 carries in a game.Another intriguing match-up will be the quarterback battle between Ryan Fitzpatrick & rookie Ryan Tannehill, two players who have yet to reach their teams' expectations of them. Here are my Three Bold Predictions for this AFC East showdown: 1.) Reggie Bush & C.J. Spiller Rush for 100+ YardsThis pick isn't bold because of Reggie Bush, as he should have a field day against the Bills 32nd ranked rushing defense that allows 163.7 yards a game. It's bold because C.J. Spiller is expected to struggle against a stout Dolphins defense that allows only 94.2 per game, although they've struggled recently, allowing 135.3 yards per game in their last four contests. But Spiller is plenty talented and possesses the speed to find the gaps in this defense necessary to break off big chunks of yards. If this prediction holds water, fantasy owners of Bush & Spiller could be in for a field day. 2.) Both Quarterbacks Commit At Least One TurnoverRyan Tannehill (13) & Ryan Fitzpatrick (15) have a knack for turnovers. While the jury is still out on the very green Tannehill, Fitzpatrick is still the same inconsistent quarterback he's been in Buffalo for almost four years. With two error-prone quarterbacks combined with muggy & damp conditions, turnovers are almost a guarantee here. 3.) Buffalo Wins By Double DigitsAlthough Miami has won the last six of eight against the Bills, I think Tannehill & the Dolphins will struggle heavily in Buffalo against Mario Williams & the Bills' defense. C.J. Spiller will reemerge as a star in Fred Jackson's absence, continuing Miami's dreadful streak against the run. Look for this game to be competitive throughout the first half, with Buffalo breaking away in the third and beyond. Buffalo 27, Miami 16
