Hartline returns; Dolphins still have gap at WR

DAVIE, Fla. -- The Miami Dolphins are down to the NFL roster limit of 53. Not that it means a lot. After a winless preseason, the Dolphins will remain quite active in searching for talent after a Friday in which they waived or released 21 players and traded backup center Ryan Cook to Dallas for a 2013 seventh-round pick to get to the required roster number. This is a team that needs...

After overhaul, defense remains Dolphins strength

The Miami Dolphins hired an offensive coordinator as their coach, then used their first-round pick to draft a quarterback who will give the ball much of the time to their best-known player, Reggie Bush. And yet if they win this season, it will be with defense. Dolphins defenders get overlooked and believe they're underrated. ''We don't have a lot of superstars...

Dolphins team plane nearly avoids serious runway crash

One could argue that the 2012 Miami Dolphins have been somewhat of a train wreck this season, with Chad Johnson’s tumultuous off-field transgressions that led to a release and former starting quarterback David Garrard injuring his knee while playing with his kids. The team can now add a near plane crash to their list of reality TV story lines, as the team’s chartered flight out...

Dolphins Final Preseason Game Reaction

Congratulations to the Miami Dolphins for providing more headlines off the field rather than on it this preseason!  The preseason is finally over, but not without embarrasments exascerbated by being on national TV on Tuesdays. As tough as it was to watch last night's last preseason contest, I mustered up the courage to lower the volume a bit on my laptop so I didn't have...

Miami Dolphins trade C Ryan Cook to the Dallas Cowboys

Trade for Cowboys: The Cowboys are clearly desperate for interior offensive line help. After losing both of their starting guards this offseason, the Cowboys replaced them with Nate Livings, an inferior player who really struggled in Cincinnati last year, and Mackenzy Bernadeau, a career backup who has yet to nail down a starting job thanks to injuries. 2011 4th round pick David...
