Last week: 29 (+4) Record: 1-3 The Dolphins lost in overtime last week, but you could argue they should have won, on the road, against an unbeaten team. The Cardinals recovered all 6 of the fumbles that hit the ground and Miami averaged a whopping 6.5 yards per play, as opposed to 4.2 for Arizona. They rank 8th in the league in yards per play differential and since their week 1 blowout loss against Houston, who pretty much blows everyone out, they’ve blown out the Raiders and lost in overtime to the Cardinals and Jets. Ryan Tannehill is a rookie and he’s going to be inconsistent, but he has promise. They also run the ball well and play solid defense. They won’t make the playoffs or anything, but this is an underrated team that could play spoiler and upset some “superior” teams. Studs C Mike Pouncey: Did not allow a pressure on 47 pass block snaps, run blocked for 46 yards on 7 attempts WR Brian Hartline: Caught 12 passes for 253 yards and a touchdown on 17 attempts on 44 pass plays,...

Going back to last year and the final 9 games the Miami Dolphins went 6-3, and no one wanted to see us on their schedule. Even though it is one year later, and the Dolphins are once again getting... Hartline, Dolphins' receivers 'doing a good job'

Dolphins wide receivers have attracted a lot of attention since the start of training camp. Miami is happy now it's for positive reasons. As was depicted on HBO's ''Hard Knocks'' throughout training camp, there have been questions about the group's ability. But a lot of the questions were answered during their record-setting performance last Sunday at...

NFL First Quarter Report Card: Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins fell to 1-3 as the NFL First Quarter comes to a close, and their report card would have to have some mixed results at this point. If you simply look at the record, it would seem as if the 2012 NFL season is off to a disappointing start for the Dolphins. But that is not entirely true. While the Dolphins may be 1-3, they could just as easily be 3-1. That would be...

Dolphins’ Pouncey issues apology to fans

Up to this point, it’s been a particularly gut-wrenching season for the new-look Dolphins. Back-to-back overtime losses to the Jets and Cardinals have dropped the team to 1-3, last place in the AFC East. And though they’ve played better than their record indicates, Miami isn’t proud of the product they’re putting on the field, prompting one player, center Mike Pouncey, to...

Dolphins promote CB Presley off practice squad

The Miami Dolphins signed cornerback De'Andre Presley off their practice squad. Presley signed with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent in May and joined Miami's practice squad on Sept. 2 after his release in San Diego. The versatile Presley played cornerback, wide receiver and running back at Appalachian State. He also returned punts and kickoffs and had 3,670 total...

Dolphins dump Legedu Naanee, sign Jabar Gaffney

According to Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, the Miami Dolphins have released wide receiver Legedu Naanee and signed free agent Jabar Gaffney. If Gaffney is healthy and contribute at the level he did in New England and even Washington, he’ll be a nice addition for the Dolphins.

The stop and go : the good, bad and the ugly

The Miami Dolphins play the Cincinnati Bengals this week but I am not here to talk too much about that.  Too much bad and ugly went down Sunday for the Dolphins that I’ve thrown in “the Good” since that’s how the common saying goes.  Not our saying; you may be surprised by this comment, but as Jason Taylor tweeted, “good performances mean nothing without the end results...

Miami Dolphins v Arizona Cardinals

Dolphins fans should be excited. In what was, without a doubt one of the weirdest games of the weekend, we got to see a rookie breakout, a veteran implode, but more importantly redeem himself. So how did the Miami Dolphins v Arizona Cardinals turn three times and end up in a Cardinals victory over the upstart, but still 1-3 Dolphins?  Let’s take a look. 1. Ryan Tannehill is for...

Super Bowl XLVII: Could It Be An Improbable Battle Of 18-0 Teams?

In the NFL, an perfect record is the ultimate achievement.  Only the Dolphins pulled it off, and they haven't had a winning record since the 2006 season.  Every year, the surviving members of the 1972 Miami Dolphins celebrate with champagne after the last undefeated team takes its first loss.During the 2007 season, they had to hold their breath until the very last game....
