The Miami Dolphins are treating their game on Sunday against the Patriots as if it were a playoff game…..they should be, because that’s exactly what it is.  If the Dolphins lose, not only will their record fall to 5-7, but their record in conference will fall to 3-6.  Even if the Dolphins managed to win out, they would finish 9-7 BUT would only be 6-6 in conference, which probably won’t be enough to win any tiebreakers.  The Dolphins are taking the game seriously, but it’s going to take a near-perfect effort to beat the Pats on Sunday. Today, we wanted to share our Miami Musings with you.  We found a few Dolphins blogs that had stories that we wanted to share with you and give our thoughts on.  These stories include a closer look at the Dolphins playcalling against the Seahawks, Big Papa Pump taking shots at the Jets’ Fireman Ed, an awesome Forum site, and the Dolphins signing a new cornerback. Creative Playcalling – ThePhinsider.com Earlier this week, we told you that we liked some of the playcalling by Mike Sherman against the Seahawks.  We didn’t love all of it, but we specifically liked the ‘end around’ action.  In the above article ThePhinsider.com did a great job of breaking down the plays we were referring to.  Mike Sherman lined up the offense in a similar formation, using similar motions, but calling different plays out of it.  This playcalling confused the Seahawks defense and allowed the Dolphins to pick up some big plays.  This is exactly the type of creativity we need to see more of as it makes the Dolphins offense less predictable.  (cont’d on page 2, click below)

Dolphins Division: Dolphins hope to stay alive versus Patriots

Seahawks’ Earl Thomas bashes NFL over $15K fine

Late in last Sunday's loss to the Dolphins, Earl Thomas was flagged for a highly questionable personal foul penalty. On Wednesday, after he was slapped with a $15,000 fine by the NFL, the Seahawks' Pro Bowl safety took to Twitter to express his displeasure. https://twitter.com/Earl_Thomas/status/273862778807271424 On the play, Thomas was rushing quarterback Ryan Tannehill...

Patriots Preparing for ‘Dynamic’ Play of Reggie Bush, Miami Dolphins (Video)

Bill Belichick usually isn’t one to carelessly dole out praise, so when he called the Miami Dolphins’ Reggie Bush “dynamic,” that clearly means something. On Sunday the Patriots will take their talents to South Beach, where they will take on Bush, quarterback Ryan Tannehill and the Dolphins. For New England, a win also represents the chance to clinch an AFC East championship...

Running Game Revival?

Reggie Bush's vantage point was from behind. Carrying the ball on a sweep, he happily followed 303-pound pulling center Mike Pouncey, who led the way like a runaway bulldozer. ''I knew it was going to be a big play,'' Bush said. It ended in the end zone. The 21-yard touchdown run showed that when the Miami Dolphins get their ground game going, they can be hard to stop.

Patriots Should Use No-Huddle Attack on Sunday to Take Advantage of Dolphins’ Weaknesses on Defense (Video)

The Patriots are not known as a team that runs the ball particularly well, but they may look to do so on Sunday in order to take advantage of a mismatch against the Miami Dolphins. The NFL Network’s Mike Lombardi joined The Dennis and Callahan Show on Friday to break down the Dolphins defense. While Miami appears to stop the run well, the Patriots could turn out to be a tough matchup...

Dolphins tasked with slowing down Tom Brady

DAVIE, Fla. Its probably not a good idea to compare your rookie quarterback to Tom Brady the week your team plays New England. Perhaps thats why Miami center Mike Pouncey played it coy on Wednesday when asked to expound upon having last month compared Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill to the Patriots star. I said that? Pouncey said before laughing. You sure? That a rookie reminded...

Dolphins not concerned with Patriots' ability to clinch division ... In fact, they 'had no clue'

When asked Thursday whether he was thinking about Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins being a potential division-clincher for his team, New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker had a one-word retort: “Absolutely. ”The Dolphins, however, don't seem to be on the same page. “I had no clue until you just said that,” quarterback Ryan Tannehill told the New England...
